Petite Bathing Cloth

If you love to give fragarant, evocative bath soaps to friends it always seems a shame that they have to use their terry towelling (invariably old) washers as accompaniments. French soap and a generic face cloth just don't do it for anyone. Try these little guys. Simple to knit and create a sense of achievment as you see a little pile of them grow beside you. These examples knitted in DK Cotton "Calico" but there are 32 other delicious Jo Sharp shades to chose from. Check out your Shade Cards!

Box Stitch Jacket

For those who remember Jo Sharp's "Contemporary Knitting No 1", this jacket pattern from "Eclectic" is a re-working of the Long Box Stitch jacket from that first publication. A reinterpretation of classic Chanel styling, this jacket has been made here in yarn from the Shetland Islands - this shade "Purple Heather". Remarkably light to wear, this jacket is also remarkable as the photos are taken a year after it was completed and worn continuously for the Autumn, Winter and Spring of that year. And it still looks as if it were completed today. Not only will this design stand the test of time, so will the yarn. You will probably wear out long before it will!!!

Jamieson's Shetland Yarn in seven shades will be available from Thicket from Mid-March 2008.
